Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Built2Last Driveways Limited collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Built2Last Driveways Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) installs driveways for homeowners across the West Midlands. We are a family-run business based at 3 The Mill, Stuart Works, Stourbridge DY8 4FA.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide what is collected and what happens to it.
To ask us anything about this policy, or to exercise any of your rights under it, contact us by email at built2lastdriveway@icloud.com or call 07394 547 011.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete our enquiry form we ask for:
- your name
- your email address
- your telephone number
- when you are looking to have the work started
- your estimated budget for the project
If you call us, message us on WhatsApp, or reply to one of our emails, we also hold your phone number or email address and the content of those messages. If you go on to book work, we hold your address and details about the job so we can carry it out and honour the guarantee.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this site we may collect your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how long you spent on them, and which website or advert brought you here. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see section 5.
What we never ask for here
We do not request payment card or bank details through this website. We also do not ask for special category information such as health, ethnicity, religion or political views. Please do not send us any of that through the enquiry form.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are set out below.
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and prepare your quote | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Visit your property, agree the work and carry it out | Performance of a contract with you |
| Contact you about your enquiry by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp, including following up if we cannot reach you | Our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries we have received |
| Understand how the site is used and which adverts lead to enquiries | Your consent, given through cookie settings, and our legitimate interests in measuring our advertising |
| Keep records for your guarantee, and for insurance, accounting and tax | Legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in honouring guarantees and defending claims |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights, and we believe they are not. You can object at any time — see section 9.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
4. Marketing
If you make an enquiry, we will contact you about it. We may follow up more than once if we cannot reach you first time.
If we later send you information about our other services, you can opt out at any time — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop by emailing built2lastdriveway@icloud.com or calling 07394 547 011. Opting out of marketing does not stop us contacting you about work we are actually carrying out for you.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site and the enquiry form to work properly.
- Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies — we use Google Ads conversion tracking to tell us that an advert led to an enquiry. This measures the advert, not you personally.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse them entirely. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop the enquiry form working.
Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:
- our customer relationship management and enquiry form provider, which receives and stores enquiries so we can respond to them;
- Google, for website analytics and advertising measurement;
- our website hosting provider;
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us that way — those conversations are also governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy;
- our insurers, accountants and professional advisers, where genuinely necessary;
- the police, regulators or other authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.
Suppliers acting on our behalf are bound by contract to act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
7. Transfers outside the UK
Some of the providers we use are based outside the United Kingdom, or store information outside it. Where your information is transferred out of the UK, we rely on protections permitted by law — such as UK adequacy regulations covering the destination country, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum with the provider.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months, in case you come back to us.
- Customer records for completed work: for the length of the guarantee on that work plus six years afterwards, so we can honour the guarantee and meet accounting, tax and legal requirements.
- Website analytics: retained for the period set in the analytics tool, which is no longer than 14 months.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be told how we use your personal information — which is what this policy is for;
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it while a concern is resolved;
- object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests, including for direct marketing;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another provider in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
To exercise any of these rights, email built2lastdriveway@icloud.com or call 07394 547 011. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge, and we may need to confirm your identity before we act, to make sure we do not disclose your information to someone else.
10. Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it to do their job. This site is served over an encrypted connection. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take the security of your information seriously and will notify you and the regulator where we are legally required to do so.
11. Children
Our services are aimed at homeowners and property owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website.
12. Other websites
This site links to other websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their own privacy notices.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first at built2lastdriveway@icloud.com or on 07394 547 011 so we have the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to the law. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Please check back occasionally.
